How does FileBus work?

  • Files are grouped in file bundles for ease of management and distribution
  • Send, request, receive, store files securely via the cloud in your preferred geolocation (geographic location)
  • Files may be sent to multiple recipients with valid email addresses (even outside your organisation)
  • When sending files, you can optionally allow recipients to reply with updated files
  • Files may be requested for upload from a recipient with a valid email address (even outside your organisation)
  • Multiple forms of recipient authentication and support for expiry dates
  • File transfers may include messages to and from recipients with notifications and audit trailing
  • Use only your browser, with no additional software or plug-ins required
  • File repository only accessible via browser, providing a safe and secure abstraction layer over your file system

User Authentication options for File Management via the Cloud

User Authentication Support

  • FileBus login - standard FileBus login account with email and password
  • FileBus login with multi-factor authentication - standard FileBus login account with email and password and multi-factor authentication
  • Multi-factor authentication support via: Google/Microsoft Authenticator apps and SMS Code

Recipient Authentication Support

  • FileBus login - recipient logs in via a standard FileBus login account
  • FileBus login with multi-factor authentication - recipient logs in via a standard FileBus login account that requires multi-factor authentication
  • 3rd party login - recipient logs in via a Google/Microsoft/Facebook/Twitter login
  • SMS Code - recipient receives an SMS code required
  • Password - user specifies a temporary password which needs to be communicated to the recipient (optionally sent to recipient in a separate email)
  • No-authentication - recipient clicks on emailed link and does not require any authentication over and above specifying an email address

Large Files Supported

  • Files up to 5GB supported (Contact us if you need even larger file support)
  • Upload resume and download resume supported to overcome micro internet outages

Rock Solid Security

  • Built and hosted on Microsoft Azure infrastructure and data centres only
  • Microsoft Azure meets the following security standards:
    • Sect 508 VPATs, Spain ENS, UK G-Cloud
    • FISC, PCI-DSS, SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3
    • FERPA
    • CJIS
    • FDA CFR Title 21 Part 11, GxP

Multiple Geolocations

  • Multiple geographic locations for file storage (e.g. Australasia, West Central USA and Western Europe with more coming - contact us if you have a specific requirement in a differnet geolocation)
  • You can choose to transfer files within a selected geolocation to comply with "safe harbour" restrictions
  • On premises geolocations are supported under the Custom plan (where you provide the infrastructure)

Multiple Workspaces

  • Create multiple workspaces under your account
  • Each workspace can be in a different geolocation
  • Each workspace supports multiple file bundles
  • Security roles (containing permissions) controlled at workspace and user level
  • Workspace permission flags override user roles for ultimate control
  • Workspace file downloads can be IP restricted
